Greater Plantain (Plantago major L.) is found all over the world and is one of the most abundant and accessible medicinal herbs. It can be found throughout the entire Northern Hemisphere, although it spread most throughout North America. Greater Plantain belongs to common weeds that cover meadows, pastures, roadside areas, lawns, and fields. The plant is known also as broadleaf plantain, white man's foot.
The leaves of Greater Plantain are picked and used as a salad green, vegetable, or potherb. Tea made from that herb can be used as a mouthwash.
How To Use Greater Plantain Leaf Health Embassy
1-3 tsp of Greater Plantain Leaf pour a glass (200ml) of boiling water and leave to infuse covered for 10- 15 minutes. You can sweeten this infusion with honey.
You can use this infusion as a mouthwash.
Mix 1 tbsp of Greater Plantain Leaf with 1 tbsp of Burnet Saxifrage Root. Pour 1 cup (200ml) of boiling water and brew under the cover for 15 minutes. Strain and sweeten it with honey.
Fill your jar about halfway with Greater Plantain Leaf. Pour coconut oil into the jar until it’s just about full. Make sure that herbs are covered completely with oil. Close the jar with a piece of cloth and rubber band and place it in a dark spot. Shake occasionally. After 4-6 weeks, pour the jar’s contents through a small strainer in a jar with a lid. Label well and store.
You can use it as a body oil for dry skin, cuticle oil, massage oil, etc.
