Infusion: 1-2 tablespoons per 1 glass of boiling milk or water; brew it for 20 minutes, strain, sweeten with honey or squash; can be consumed a couple of times a day in the amount of 100 ml (for cold, cough and flu).
Decoction: pour 350 ml of warm water over 1 tablespoon of leaves and bring it to boil. After 3 minutes of boiling it covered, the decoction shall be left aside for 10 minutes and, then, strained. For cough treatment, drink ¼ up to ⅛ of a glass 3-5 times a day between the meals. This decoction can also be used externally as a compress for bruises and reddening of the skin.
Alcoholature: you only need to pour hot vodka vol. 30-40% over Coltsfoot Leaf. A little bit of cane sugar or honey can be added. Close it tightly and leave aside away from the sun for 7 days and filter the substance afterwards. It can be taken for hoarseness, cough or stuffed nose a couple of times a day in the amount of 1 teaspoon or tablespoon. 500 ml of alcohol should be counted per 1 glass of Coltsfoot Leaf.
