Lycopodium Herb (Lycopodium clavatum L.) is also known under the names stag's-horn clubmoss, running clubmoss, ground pine and it is a typical plant for temperate forest areas. Lycopodium forms in shoots, from which grow stems several centimetres long, covered with small needle-like leaves.
Lycopodium is a plant known for its herbal properties but also for folk superstitions. According to one of them, hanging the plant under the ceiling protects against evil forces. It is also an ancient magical plant of the Celtic druids.
Lycopodium Herb teas have been used since ancient times in both American Indian and European cultures.
How To Use Lycopodium Herb Health Embassy
Infusion
1-3 tsp of Lycopodium Herb pour 1 cup (200ml) of boiling water, strain after 10-15 minutes. Drink half a glass of infusion 2-3 times a day. You can add some honey or stevia powder as a sweetener.
This infusion can be also used externally.
Tincture
Pour 1 part of Lycopodium Herb into 5 parts of 60-65% alcohol (preferably heated to 50-60°C). Set aside for maceration for 14 days. After two weeks, drain, filter and pour into a bottle.
