Lady’s Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris L.) grows in humid places, on the borders of forests, on meadows. In the earlier ages, extraordinary properties were attributed to this plant. Other common names for Lady’s Mantle are Nine Hooks, Bear’s Foot, or Lion’s Foot.

Alchemists collected the dew appearing on its leaves since they believed that it would bring the solution to the problem of philosophical stone. Lady’s Mantle Herb can be used topically or internally, ex. as an infusion.

How To Use Lady's Mantle Herb Health Embassy

Infusion

1-3 tsp of Lady’s Mantle Herb per 1 glass (200ml) of boiling water, cover it and strain it after 10-15 minutes. Drink one glass of the infusion, 2-3 times a day.

Decoction

2-3 tsp of Lady's Mantle Herb pour with 200ml of cool water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside to infuse covered for 10 minutes and strain. Drink 4 x 100ml daily.

Tincture

Pour 500ml of pure vodka over a glass of Lady’s Mantle Herb and leave aside for 14 days. Filter it, pour into smaller dark glass bottles. Take 10ml up to 3 times a day.

Vinegar

50g of Lady's Mantle Herb pour 250ml of vinegar. Close the dish tightly and allow it to digest for 14 days, then filter. Use in a diluted form (in a 1: 1 ratio with the water) for rinsing the mouth or skin wash.

Face mask

Pour half a glass of boiling water over 1 tsp of Lady’s Mantle Herb. Add 2 tbsp of porridge oats to the infusion and mix it well (best to use a blender) in order to create a pulp. Put the mask on your face for 10 minutes and, then rinse with warm water.

Bath

Take 1 glass of Lady’s Mantle Herb and ½ a glass of Linden Flower. Pour 2 liters of boiling water over the herbs and simmer it. After a few minutes, take it from the heat and leave the infusion to cool. Filter it through a strainer, pour the liquid into a bath filled up with warm (not hot) water. Take the bath for at least 10-15 minutes.
