Catnip Herb (Nepeta cataria), commonly known as catswort, and catmint, grows naturally in the southern and eastern Middle East, Central Asia, and parts of China. The plant has a pleasant, refreshing citrus fragrance.
It might be used against mosquitoes because the specific smell repels many insects. Catnip Herb is also used in the kitchen as a spice and in cosmetics. It can be added to soups, sauces, stews. Catnip can also be used for hair care: you can prepare hair rinses from it. That herb works intensively on cats - they love its smell.
How To Use Catnip Herb Health Embassy
Add 1-3 tsp of Catnip Herb to 1 cup (200ml) of hot (not boiling) water. Steep it for 10 minutes, then strain the infusion.
Catnip Herb infusion might be used externally to rinse the hair.
To 0.5 liters of pure 40% vodka, add 100 grams of Catnip Herb and left for 2 weeks in a shady place. The tincture should be shaken daily. After 2 weeks, strain the herbs and dilute the tincture with 2 glasses (400ml) of boiled water. After cooling, store the mixture in the fridge in a dark bottle.
