Thyme Herb (Thymus serpyllum L.) is best cultivated in a hot, sunny location with well-drained soil. It’s also known by the common names of Breckland thyme, Breckland wild thyme, wild thyme, creeping thyme, or elfin thyme. It is used as border plants and ground cover around gardens and stone paths.

Thyme Herb is suitable for seasoning soups, sauces, salads, all kinds of vegetable dishes, stewed and baked meats, cottage cheese and yellow cheeses. It goes perfectly with Italian dishes, including pizza and pasta. The herbal material of Thyme Herb has a unique spicy smell and bitter taste. Its extracts can be used externally and to rinse the mouth. 

How To Use Thyme Herb Health Embassy

Infusion

1-2 tsp of Thyme Herb pour with 200ml of boiling water. Brew under the cover for 10-15 minutes, then strain and drink.

Tincture

50g Thyme Herb pour 400ml 40-50% alcohol. Leave in a dark place for maceration for 14 days, then filter and pour into a bottle. Drink 5-10ml, up to 3 times a day.

Oil

Sprinkle 50g of Thyme Herb with alcohol and pour with 100g of heated vegetable oil. Close the dish and allow it to macerate for 7 days. After a week, filter and pour into a bottle. Consume 1 tsp once a day.

Bath

200g of Thyme Herb pour with about 3 litres of boiling water. Brew under the cover for 20-30 minutes. Strain into a bathtub with water (temp. around 37°C). After a relaxing bath, wrap yourself in a towel without rubbing.
