Product Description

Elderberries (Sambucus nigra L.) are native to Europe and North America and have a long history of use in herbalism. Common names of the plant include elder, elderberry, black elder, European elder, European elderberry, and European black elderberry.

The berries of the Elderberry plant are often used for preserves, syrups, tinctures, and as a food flavouring. Additionally, the Elderberries can be cooked and used to make juice, jams, chutneys, pies or even elderberry wine. These fruits can also be added to muffins or pancakes for a berry flavour similar to blueberries but not quite as sweet.

Elderberry Dried Fruits are best combined with other berries such as raspberry and blueberries.
